Books
Lean is about doing but it is important to reflect and have the necessary knowledge
to drive improvements. We have published two books in Swedish. They are
translated from the books written by John Bicheno. We have also added more Lean material.
The Lean Toolbox for Service Systems
This is the first book to assemble a comprehensive set of tools for Lean Service and administration. Attention is given to general Lean service concepts and frameworks, to mapping and understanding different types of service system, and to a range of tools that have been found to be useful in a variety of service environments.
The book is the result of several years’ work in Lean Service at the Lean Enterprise Research Centre, Cardiff Business School, and the service management programme at the University of Buckingham. All material in the book has been field-tested by exposure to service professional and executive programmes.
New Lean Toolbox
This is probably the most comprehensive guide available to the full range of Lean tools and concepts. The book is written in a no-waffle style relevant to everyone (CEO to shop floor, design to customer) in any Lean-aspiring organization requiring basic instruction, inspiration or review.
The author John Bicheno is the Director of the MSc program in Lean Operations at the Lean Enterprise Research Centre (LERC) of the Cardiff Business School, Wales. At the time of writing, this is the only Masters program in the world devoted to Lean, and is taught on-site at factory locations.
