The knowledge of Lean is growing, but until recently there has not been a well established qualification structure for Lean training nor a lean practitioners competency level.
How does it happen?
The Lean Competency System (LCS) has been developed by LERC (Lean Enterprise Research Centre at Cardiff University). LCS provides a structured lean qualifications system, offering a practical oriented hierarchy of lean qualifications – or “learning ladder” – around which employees can develop their lean thinking skills, or for an organization to develop a lean competency strategy for its workforce.
